Do it yourself Hyper Ground Kit
I used about 8.5 feet of 8ga power wire from Car Toys. It was $1.95 per foot. I could have used something from the hardware store that was less than $.50 per foot. But This wire looked nice and I have my doubts that a hyperground really does anything.
I also bough six ring terminals for 6 ga wire with a 1/4" stud hole $2.97 per three pack at Home Depot. To finish it off get some 1/2" heat shrink tubing. This step is not necessary but it gives the job a finished look.
I bought the 6ga ring terminals so that I could just fit two 8ga wires in it.
The pairs of wires are twisted together and soldered in place with 95/5 rosin
core solder. I think this is better than individual wires with ring terminals at
each end because the last ground point would have to go through 10 ring
terminals between the battery and the firewall. With the two wire soldered
together and wrapped by the metal of the ring terminal you lose nothing. Look
how much bigger the cross section of the wire is compared to the cross section
of the metal between the wire and the stud.

It all start here. I did crimp and solder the first and last ring connector
because it is loose with only one wire in it.

Then it is grounded by a 6mm (10mm hex head) bolt on the head ,behind the
thermostat.

Then the intake manifold.

The left side of the engine. This is also a factory ground spot so it can't be a
bad one.

Finally the back left side of the valve cover and the firewall. I do not know
how the ECU is grounded but this is about as close to the ECU the firewall gets.
Again, does any of this do any good? Well it can't hurt and many people feel it
does help and for $26 and a about an hour, why not.
