Our friend Nino wanted a custom tandem that fit him perfectly, not unlike most people. The difference is, Nino is blind and a permanent stoker. The height difference between the current captains in his phone book is pretty extreme and he didn't want to compromise his riding position or have to adjust his bars for each captain. The bars are mounted independently of the captains seatpost, the sloping, front top tube is dropped to increase the range of captains, and the Look Ergo stem has an amazing reach adjustment in all directions. Nino also has control of the gears and most captains seem OK with this as they equate it to driving an automatic with intelligence.
